Bach on the Rock is privileged to bring “Remembrance 2023” to ArtSpring. We will be featuring “Dona Nobis Pacem”, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ 40 minute Cantata for Choir, Orchestra, and two soloists, through the vision of our Artistic Director, Jean-Sébastien Lévesque.  We are thrilled to have well-known and loved Canadian Soprano Suzie LeBlanc and Baritone Hans Grunwald  joining us.  We will also be presenting the Makana Youth Choir in  song with Caroni Young, and the gorgeous motet “Singet dem Herrn” by J. S. Bach.

This inspiring program will be preceded by a community  sing-along of popular songs from the period of World Wars I & II, (yes, including the songs of Vera Lynn).  So come at 7 on Saturday or 2 on Sunday and join in with singers from Salt Spring Singers, The Lost  Chords, and Viva Chorale as they lead the way.
